After the great success of first year, now it is time to play the Celebrity Cricket League 2012. Last year CCL T20 2011 was started with four teams and it was a big time hit. with such a wonderful experience , the same tournament is going to be held in the year 2012. Two new teams are joining the CCL this year. It is going to be a star studded action which starts on January 13, 2012 and ends on February 12, 2012.
Cricket and Cinema are coming together again. Now a days actors are getting closer to cricket and try to associate themselves with the sport. IPL is the best example of it as most of the team are owned by actors. Now it is actors forming a team and playing for the crowd. CCL T20 2011 was born last year with the intention of playing the T20 championships by forming the team of film stars. The mission of the CCL is to cover up all the Film industries existing in India.
The following are the teams which are participating in Tournament:
Mumbai Heroes : The team is represented by the cine stars from Bollywood. This year may be the Salman Khan will be the part of the game.
Chennai Rhinos : The team is represented by the cine stars from Kollywood. They are the current holder of CCL T20 Championship.
Telugu Warriors : The team is represented by the cine stars from Tollywood. They are appearing for the second time in tournament.
Karnataka Bulldozers : The team is represented by the cine stars from Sandalwood. They were the runners up to CCL Chennai team last year.
Bengal Tigers : The team is represented by the cine stars from Kerala. The Bengal Tiger team is being mentored by former Indian Cricketer Saurav Ganguly.
Kerala Strikers : The team is represented by the cine stars from Kerala. They are appearing for the first time in CCL T20 Championship.
